Deer Larders

  • Two compartment larder made up of carcass chiller and preparation room.
  • Mainly used on Estates/farms where all the deer are sold ‘in-fur’ to the game dealer.
  • Small quantities of processing can be achieved but EHO approval will be required.
  • Wash down systems are fitted and can include hand wash basin, equipment sink, knife sterilisers, hot and cold running water.
  • Floor drains can be fitted to run across the full width of the floor.
  • Electric hoists are positioned to eliminate manual handing of carcasses
  • Preparation room suitable for 1 or more workstations for inspection and tagging of the carcass.
  • Chiller capacities of up to 60 deer in one unit with preparation room.

Venison Processing Unit

  • Minimum three compartment larder, made up of preparation room, carcass chiller & processing area
  • Designed for use where venison is processed into a resale product
  • Wash down systems are fitted and can include hand wash basin, equipment sink, knife sterilisers, hot and cold running water
  • Floor drains can be fitted to run across the full width of the floor
  • Electric hoists are positioned to eliminate manual handing of carcasses
  • Additional space for staff welfare and office amenities can be provided
  • Facilities can be designed to obtain full AGHE status
